Menagerie was opened in 2016 by the North West’s youngest independent female restaurant operator and owner, Karina Jadhav. 
Karina had already established a strong brand identity and destination that surprised and delighted guests, but the restaurant needed to attract new customers and increase sales following two years of lockdowns and being located in the middle of the chaotic New Bailey development regeneration project. 
The star-studded restaurant is certainly one of the most talked-about restaurants in Manchester as they offer a dining experience like no other with a show-stopping combination of theatrical performance, a catwalk, and aerial dancers whilst you browse the lavish menu and sip cocktails. The restaurant's marketing efforts were primarily focused on inviting influencers and celebrities to drink, dine and dance, however, this method was diminishing as free organic reach on social channels was in decline. 
The restaurant partnered with Modernity Marketing to revamp its marketing strategy and increase its online presence. We developed a comprehensive plan that included the following tactics in addition to offering graphic design and video editing services. 

WHAT WE DID:

Social Media Marketing - We helped the restaurant create and maintain a strong paid presence on popular social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. This included testing engaging content that highlighted the restaurant's unique offerings and building a community of loyal followers.
Email Marketing - We increased the email marketing campaign from 2 emails a month to 3 emails a week and increased the email capture of site visitors. 
Out of Home - We used billboards in high-traffic areas that made a big impact with a simple, bold image.
Sponsorship - We entered and organised Menagerie’s first-ever Manchester Pride Parade float, an annual LGBT pride festival that aims to promote equality and diversity in the city, and to raise money for LGBT charities and organisations. The festival is one of the largest pride events in the UK and attracts over 250,000 visitors each year.

THE RESULTS: 

The restaurant's marketing efforts paid off, resulting in sales steadily increasing and showing strong financial growth. The restaurant saw a 28% increase in website traffic, a 24% increase in social media followers, and a 20% increase in email list subscribers. Additionally, the restaurant experienced an increase in reservations booked through its website and a 25% increase in overall sales compared to a non-lockdown year.
